About

There's a real person
behind this.

Here's who, and why.

The Story

Why Silver Fox Cyber exists.

My name is Charles Quesenberry. I'm based in Wytheville, Virginia. I've been working with computers and technology for over 20 years — not as a corporate IT director, but as someone who genuinely finds this stuff fascinating and has spent decades learning it the hard way, one problem at a time.

I built Silver Fox Cyber because I noticed a gap that bothered me.

The technology that protects Fortune 500 companies from ransomware — immutable, object-locked cloud backup — has been commercially available for years. It's what hospitals use. It's what financial institutions use. The reason those organizations don't lose their data to ransomware isn't luck. It's architecture.

But that same architecture wasn't available to my neighbor. It wasn't available to the small dental practice down the street. It wasn't available to the thousands of small business owners and home users who are quietly, steadily losing data to attacks they never saw coming.

VaultShield changes that.

On the technical side

The platform behind VaultShield was designed from the ground up with the right architecture — not retrofitted from consumer backup software.

Every client gets their own private storage vault. Every backup is encrypted on your machine before it leaves. Every backup object is locked with S3 Object Lock the moment it arrives. The management platform is custom-built and runs on servers in a private network.

The platform was built from scratch — not assembled from off-the-shelf consumer tools. When you contact Silver Fox Cyber, you're working with people who understand the system at every level, because we designed it.

On the human side

Silver Fox Cyber was founded by Charles Quesenberry — someone with five kids, more grandchildren than he can chase at once, and a deep-seated conviction that ordinary people deserve the same data protection as large organizations.

This business exists because we wanted to do something genuinely useful. If VaultShield protects even one family's photos from ransomware, that's worth it. If it turns a profit too, that's a bonus.

What We Believe

The principles behind the service.

Data Minimalism

We only collect what we need to run the service. We don't sell your information. We don't share it. We don't want it.

Honest Pricing

The price you see is the price you pay. No setup fees, no restore fees, no surprise invoices when you actually need to recover something.

Plain English

If you ask us a question, we'll answer it in plain English. If we don't know the answer, we'll say so and find out.

Long-Term Thinking

This isn't a startup trying to grow fast and flip. It's a service business built to last — the kind where your data is still safe five years from now.
